The Public Works Director is responsible for all aspects of Public Works services to include but not limited to, grounds services, dirt hauling services, transportation services & program compliance for the repair of Tribal roads, right-of-way’s, culverts, drainage structures, the responsibilities of supervising the mechanic shop, land and forestry services, and Public Works construction and administrative staff. Oversight and accountability of the Public Works Department includes all facets of the daily operation of the Department, including, but not limited to, quality assurance; staff supervision and development; active monitoring; fiscal accountability; and comprehensive planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating all of the activities of the Department Properties. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Public Works Director is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs. The Public Works Director is expected to live the Purpose and Values of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and will go beyond the call of duty.
